Counselling Outdoors

Change is everywhere, yet many of us find it hard to flow into these changes. Nature offers us a wonderful mirror, mentor and guide to moving through life’s changes. It is a perfect companion to counselling. Moving counselling outdoors offers us the opportunity to tune into these changes and gain strength from natural rhythms.

By doing our personal work outdoors we tap into something that many people sense when in nature. Its calming, grounding ability give us perspective on the difficulties we are facing.

By moving Hakomi mindfulness based counselling outdoors we bring in this grounded overarching perspective that is always there in therapy, whether indoors or out. However, working outdoors brings it to the foreground.

There is a growing body of evidence that humans get great mental health benefits from being in Nature.
